The beginning of December always feels like a trick! There are is so much to do and everyone is on a tight budget – people want to be out and about! Clothing is fitting a little tighter, but it kind of feels like it’s ok because it’s so cold and I’m sure we will all work it off by springtime! Regardless of the ramping up of the holidays, there’s still plenty to do out here in the bay area, one thing we can always count on here is plenty of interesting and out-of-the-box experiences in the heart of Silicon Valley.

Brew Bike Pub Crawl: San Jose

The perfect outdoor activity for a sunny winter weekend! San Jose Brew Bike is the pub crawl 2.0 – the biking vehicles fit about twelves people comfortably and the bike tour has mapped out all San Jose has to offer from a craft brew lovers point of view. Black Santa Photo Op: Oakland

The Source Chiropractic saw a need to provide a Santa that was representative of people of color and took it upon themselves to fulfill that need. The event was extended two additional hours this year due to the overwhelming response from the community. The Source Chiropractic provides refreshments and a cultural experience that is inline and comfortable for children and adults of color. It’s one day only, so make sure to plan for your photo opportunity on December 9th from 10 am – 2 pm.

Brave the Bay: San Francisco

Feeling sporty after the first phase of the holiday binge eating? Checkout the Brave the Bay event. A relay style race that utilizes the scenic backdrop of San Francisco to get teams out for a day of high intensity team sports activities for a good cause. The main sponsor is the Make a Wish Foundation. The charitable aspect is touching for participants as many disabled participants complete the activities with the collaboration of their team members many hurdles and obstacles are overcome in unity. Enjoy rolling your sleeves up or be a spectator and enjoy this beautiful crisp weather.


FINAL FREE Admission Day to California Redwood Parks, December 8, 2018: Santa Cruz

California has free park admission days and it just so happens this Saturday is the last one of the year. Get out there and take advantage of the rain free, clean air, sun-filled weekend we are about to embark on. Visitors don’t even have to sign-up, anyone can pop over and enjoy one of California’s beautiful natural sites, priceless!
