The beginning of December always feels like a trick! There are is so much to do and everyone is on a tight budget – people want to be out and about! Black Santa Photo Op: Oakland
The Source Chiropractic saw a need to provide a Santa that was representative of people of color and took it upon themselves to fulfill that need. The event was extended two additional hours this year due to the overwhelming response from the community. The Source Chiropractic provides refreshments and a cultural experience that is inline and comfortable for children and adults of color. It’s one day only, so make sure to plan for your photo opportunity on December 9th from 10 am – 2 pm.
Brave the Bay: San Francisco
Feeling sporty after the first phase of the holiday binge eating? Checkout the Brave the Bay event. A relay style race that utilizes the scenic backdrop of San Francisco to get teams out for a day of high intensity team sports activities for a good cause. The main sponsor is the Make a Wish Foundation. The charitable aspect is touching for participants as many disabled participants complete the activities with the collaboration of their team members many hurdles and obstacles are overcome in unity. Enjoy rolling your sleeves up or be a spectator and enjoy this beautiful crisp weather.

California has free park admission days and it just so happens this Saturday is the last one of the year.
