Tips and Tricks for Organizing Experiences

Tips and Tricks Strategic approach

An experience is an event or occurrence that leaves an impression on someone. Every event organizer hopes that each person that attends their event leaves thinking, “That was experiential”. There is only one way to truly bring meaning to an event. Here are a few tips and tricks to keep rocking out attendee experiences.

Starting your thinking from objectives and goals is a great exercise in turning your event from something that’s produced and executed to something that is experienced and remembered. I like to explain objectives as something that is set out to be achieve by the event team and a goal as something that is taken away by the attendee. This often leads into conversation around the target audience. Who are you targeting? How old are they? What do they care about? What captures this type of attendee? These demographics will help the event organizer hone in on the type of attendee that is targeted and give an understanding of the best way to reach them.

Once these parameters have been set, it will serve as the overarching strategic approach to the experience. The event organizer can narrow down a theme and move into creative deliverables to bring a look and feel to the event giving a feeling to the experience. Putting a strategic framework together gives event organizers a formula to creating an experience at events.

Use some of these tips and tricks when organizing your next event:
